SRK keen to revive stalled UAE project

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan says he is keen to revive the Rs 100.8 billion luxury property development in UAE associated with him, which is currently on hold.

Dubai: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan says he is keen to revive the Rs 100.8 billion luxury property development in UAE associated with him, which is currently on hold.
Despite his contract running out, he would like to continue with the project `Shah Rukh Khan Boulevard`, the actor told Dubai`s Emirates Business 24/7 newspaper. "To be honest, it kind of fell through at that point in time," he said adding that he would like to spend some time to go there after the release of his film `My Name Is Khan`. Shah Rukh was in UAE to attend the premier of the film which was held on Wednesday. "I feel it is one of the few things that I started and haven`t seen its completion, so I would like to go back and tell them that I am still available if there is anything to be done. Because I would like it to be; and times will change and become better, so whatever service I can provide I will offer," Shah Rukh told the newspaper. "It`s never always about just the money part that you make. I think it`s just one of those things we never foresaw. Nobody foresaw. I would like to continue on the project, but it is definitely on hold right now," he said. `Shah Rukh Khan Boulevard` was launched for construction on Dana Island off Ras Al Khaimah in UAE before it was reported in December 2008 that the project has been delayed. At the time of its launch, the project was touted as an extension of Khan`s home, where the star was actively involved in contributing to the conceptualisation and design of the residential complex that is expected to have a home in it.
