Mumbai, June 19: The Shiney Ahuja case is getting murkier by the day as it seems to be a direct rip-off of a Bollywood potboiler where a delinquent star allegedly rapes his maid.
According to latest developments, the maid’s father is seething with anger ever since the reports of his daughter being raped by Shiney appeared. When approached, an agonized father said, "Woh ek janwar hai. He raped my daughter for more than an hour. I want that man to be hanged. He has ruined my daughter`s life."
The grief stricken father added, "I was shocked to hear that Ahuja had done such a thing. I was shocked at the way my daughter sounded over the phone; it was very unlike her. She was crying and was talking in a very low tone. We asked her to file a police complaint."
Incidentally, maid’s father lambasted media reports which stated that the housemaid was having a relationship with the actor as, "The rumours about her having a relationship with him (Shiney) are untrue. She said she was never in love with him."
The star earlier maintained of indulging in consensual sex with his maid finally confessing his grave misdeeds has drawn flak and is now remanded to judicial custody till July 2.
Earlier, Shiney confessed his crime by saying, “The maid resisted but I forced her into it. I told her that she should stay mum. I was confident that she would not tell anyone of the incident and I was ready to give her whatever she wanted to make sure that she would keep quite. I have made a grave mistake."
However, Shiney’s wife Anupam has shown unflinching faith in her husband and said that he is being framed as, “It is hard to believe the reports that come up with new version everyday. It’s a 100 percent frame up. I do not know the reason or who did it but I know that he is innocent. I have been with him for the past 15 years, he is a gentleman. He doesn’t smoke or drink or goes to parties. He is not capable of doing such a crime. He is my man. I am proud of being Mrs Shiney Ahuja.”
Meanwhile, a three-member team led by the National Commission for Women chairperson Girija Vyas has reached Mumbai and will be meeting the maid, thereby assuring a fast track court to look into the whole matter.
