London: Michael Jackson was tracked by agents around the world after the singer was accused of child abuse, according to the star’s secret FBI file.
Officials have released 333 pages of the 679-page dossier that provides details of seven investigations involving the King of Pop. The documents reports the role played by the FBI when child-abuse allegations first hit Jackson in 1993 and in the run-up to his prosecution in California for molestation, which ended in his acquittal in 2005, reports a news website. The file records that the US Embassy in London informed California cops about allegations that the `Thriller` hitmaker had made an obscene telephone call to a then 13-year-old British schoolboy. The FBI also helped Philippines investigators quiz a Filipino couple who used to run Jackson’s Neverland ranch in the same year. Two years later US Customs in Florida involved the FBI to analyse a VHS video that was marked in part “Michael Jackson’s Neverland Favourites An All Boy Anthology” to see if it had child pornography.
