London: Michael Jackson’s children paid tribute to the music legend at the Michael Forever memorial gig by wearing outfits similar to the ones donned by the late singer while filming his songs.
Jackson’s 13-year-old daughter, Paris, wore a red and black “Thriller”-style jacket, while his 14-year-old son Prince wore a leather jacket that was reminiscent from the ‘Bad’ era of the eighties.
The youngest offspring of the ‘Billy Jean’ singer, 9-year-old Blanket, recaptured the ‘Smooth Criminal’ outfit in a black jacket and tie teamed with a red shirt and an arm band to match.
The trio joined family and the showbiz elite to celebrate the late King of Pop’s life with a memorial gig in the Welsh capital of Cardiff, where La Toya, the elder sister of Jackson, also performed after a 20-year long absence from the spotlight.
“I have put musical performance behind me for roughly two decades,” the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.
“But there will never be another magical moment such as this to celebrate Michael with his fans to perpetuate the importance of his legacy.
“I am honoured to share the stage with the incredible performers in this line-up, and I’m certain nothing would make my brother smile bigger or brighter than this tribute concert,” she added.
Other celebrities who performed at the event hosted by Jamie Foxx and Fearne Cotton, included Beyonce and Christina Aguilera, whereas the Black Eyed Peas withdrew from the event last week amidst rumours that they are to split.
