London: Supermodel Naomi Campbell has made peace with herself, all thanks to prayers and a healthy living.

The 40-year-old beauty, who has been involved in a string of scandals throughout her career, including various claims of assault, admits she has become a better person as she has ditched her temper, Contactmusic reported. "I`ve worked extremely hard for the last 25 years and I`ve always tried to look my best on a catwalk. I`ve been as demanding with others as I have been with myself," Campbell said. "Nobody is perfect and that includes me. Recognising nobody is perfect and perfection doesn`t exist, although it might seem obvious, is a long journey. I`ve learned many things in order to make peace with myself, starting with the simplest like sleeping well, eating adequately or dedicating time in the mornings to praying and relaxing," she added. In 2000, the catwalk queen had pleaded guilty to assaulting her personal assistant and the following year was sued by another assistant who claimed she had thrown her telephone at her. In 2006, Campbell was arrested after she threw a jewel-encrusted mobile phone at her housekeeper and was taken into custody in April 2008 at London`s Heathrow airport on suspicion of assaulting a police officer after one of her suitcases went missing. She recently appeared in court where she confessed receiving `blood diamonds` from Liberian dictator Charles Taylor. PTI
