New Delhi: Now, everyone can take part in the ongoing London Olympics 2012 and can win a medal too. All you need to do is log on to Google search or Google Plus to prove your sporting agility.
For the last three days Google has been putting up interactive doodle on its home page, allowing its users to play games which are a part of the London Olympics.
Today, you can pump up your adrenaline by playing the Slalom Canoe. This water sport is a part of the ongoing 2012 Olympics.
The playable doodle features a paddler with a yellow-coloured canoe which allows you paddle a canoe down a water course on your computers that has 10 downstream gates, marked with green striped poles.
To adjust the speed of their canoes, users can use left and right arrow keys. The game goes like this- the speed of the canoe slows down on hitting the banks, water animals and sedimentary rocks, and you will score more if you paddle faster.
On Wednesday, there was interactive doodle on London 2012 Basketball. This was the second doodle where one could basket a ball and win a star in the end. Here using the space bar or by holding and releasing the left mouse key, the interactive basketball doodle allowed users to shoot baskets.
You could shoot as many baskets as you can in 24 seconds. The doodle also showed a countdown timer and the points earned.
The first interactive doodle of the lot was on Tuesday which had an athlete who ran a hurdle race as you clicked the left and right key on the keyboard. Here too one could win the race by finishing it first.
The first hurdles race related Google doodle was posted during the 2004 Olympics held at Athens. But this was not an interactive one. The doodle featured on the Google homepage on 25 August 2004, depicted an athlete in traditional Greek attire jumping over two hurdles. The hurdles formed the two Os in the Google logo.
Earlier, Google had celebrated London 2012 Olympics events like Pole Vault, Shot Put, Table Tennis, Hockey, Artistic Gymnastics men's Rings, Fencing, Diving, Archery, Synchronised Swimming and Javelin with a different doodle theme for every sport.
The opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics on July 27 was celebrated with doodle depicting five athletes playing different Olympics sports.
