Microsoft launches Skype with HD video support for Outlook.com globally

Microsoft has reportedly launched Skype for Outlook along with HD video calling for PC users, and improvements to call notifications and support for Safari on Macs.

Washington: Microsoft has reportedly launched Skype for Outlook along with HD video calling for PC users, and improvements to call notifications and support for Safari on Macs.

Complaints were reported by Skype desktop users, who said that the Outlook.com web version continued ringing in a browser even after the call was picked up from the desktop client.

Skype's marketing manager Karen Tong said that the company was happy to share that in the new version now available it had resolved this issue, the Verge reported

Meanwhile, though the web version of Skype was originally launched in the UK, US, and a few other countries, the updated version has finally been launched in the remaining countries worldwide.
