Microsoft has announced its plans to expand its digital assistant Cortana to other markets.

According to thenextweb.com, Microsoft's Cortana will be available for Windows 10 in Japan, Australia, Canada (in English) and India in the coming months and Brazil and Mexico plus for French-speaking Canadians later this year.

Cortana will initially be available in the US, UK, China, France, Italy, Germany and Spain with the launch of Windows 10.

Microsoft says that it is tailoring Cortana with respect to local culture alongside specialized information for each country for each particular region.

But, the announcements apply only to Windows Insiders members.
