What happens when a bunch of wannable filmmakers come together to work on a project? Yes, thats right, they all land in a soup. Starring Shubh Mukherjee, Raghuvir Yadav, Saurabh Shukla, Aamna Sharif and Zakir Hussain, ‘Shakal Pe Mat Ja’ is a whacky comedy where amateur filmmakers are caught filming planes at the Delhi Airport without legal permission. However, things take ugly turn when airport police (funnily its Raghuvir Yadav) takes them for terrorists, until our filmmakers foil a wicked terror plot. ‘Shakal Pe Mat Ja’ spoofs terrorism and makes a dig at slain al Qaieda terrorist Osama where Zakir Hussain plays Omama – the leader of al Baqaeda. Actually, Omama is a retarted version of Osama, who is hell-bent on creating mayhem but ends up on a farcical note. ‘Shakal Pe Mat Ja’ is quite amusing as it does not follow any rhythm, its random and chaotic, falling all over place with deafening background score and clumsy characters. The burqa clad figures is a cliché that reminds you of Imran Khan’s ‘Delhi Belly’. In terms of acting, ‘Shakal Pe Mat Ja’ has nothing much to offer barring veterans like Raghuvir Yadav and Saurabh Shukla, who make the film bearable. A sketchy script and dull acting skills cut short the Box Office prospects of the film. Ratings: One cheer for this one!
