Mumbai: Meenakshi Thapa, a small-time actress who was seen in the movie ‘404’ and a few commercials on TV, had earlier been reported missing. Two of her associates, Amit Kumar Jaiswal and Priti Elvina Suri, have been arrested for murdering the actress. The body of Thapa was hacked to pieces and dumped in a septic tank, and the severed head was thrown out of a moving bus. The two accused have confessed to the murder and have been arrested for the same. Jaiswal and Surin had met Thapa on the sets of a shoot in Mumbai, and were under the impression that Thapa belonged to an affluent family from Nepal, and had taken up acting as a mere hobby. The two accused had then lured Thapa to Allahabad for a supposed film shoot scheduled there. However, when the two learnt the truth about Thapa, they murdered the actress. The two junior artistes are now in police custody.
