Dolly Parton sings because she wants to be loved

Washington: Country music legend Dolly Parton has revealed that her desire to be loved led her to become a singer.

The 65-year-old singer became a performer when she realised she got attention when she sang. Parton belongs to a big family and since her childhood she knew her performing ability could make her stand out to get the attention she craved for. “I always wanted to be loved. That’s why I do this,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying. “I come from a family of 12 so I kind of got a little lost as a child. Then I realised that music and an outgoing personality was all I needed to get me attention,” she added. ANI
