New Delhi: The TCS iElect app which was recently launched shows that BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi tops the list of most trending candidates on micro-blogging site Twitter.
Country's largest software services firm, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has recently had an exclusive tie up with Twitter to mine their data and figure the conversations that are being generated in Twitter.
Zee Media has used the app to find out what is currently trending. Narendra Modi is leading the Twitter trending candidates with (65.4 percent) followed by AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal (9.6 percent), Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi (5 percent), Congress leader Digvijay Singh, AAP candidate Ashutosh and Congress spokesperson Sanjay Jha.
Meanwhile Indian National Congress (50.7 percent) is leading the trending political parties followed by Aam aadmi party (35.9 percent), BJP (10.2 percent), AITMC, Jana Sena and JKNC.
The app has been specifically developed for the elections that runs off android tabs/phones.
The app looks at Twitter conversations in real time and figures the sentiment of users with regards to political leaders, parties and issues.Source: TCS iElect app
