Mumbai: Instant messaging services firm Nimbuzz on Thursday said it has partnered Mobilink to offer its messenger application to the telecom operator's subscribers in Pakistan.
The partnership will enable Mobilink subscribers to opt for a special, discounted 'Nimbuzz Bundle' that will allow unlimited internet usage via Nimbuzz app, Nimbuzz said in a statement.
Mobilink offers voice and data services to over 36 million subscribers in Pakistan.
"Since messaging is one of the fastest growing usage categories on smartphones, it becomes imperative that stakeholders in this ecosystem like telecom companies and Nimbuzz work together to bring out services that best serves the users," Nimbuzz CEO Vikas Saxena said.
This tie-up will further help a large and growing user base of Nimbuzz in Pakistan to enjoy the product without caring about individual data costs much, he added.
"We are confident that our partnership with Nimbuzz will provide our customers with the benefits of the most modern form of data-based communication," Mobilink Director Marketing (Mobile Internet) Moied Javeed said.
Nimbuzz, which claims to have over 150 million users across 200 countries, offers instant messaging service as well as discounted calling rates.
