New Delhi: Expanding its association with the sporting fraternity, Nokia India has partnered with Spanish football club FC Barcelona (FCB).
The company is already associated with IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders.
Nokia also launched a brand campaign that will pick up 11 consumers who will travel to Barcelona to meet FCB players.
"We believe that this association will bring fans closer to football and FC Barcelona like never before," Nokia India Middle-East and Africa Senior Vice-President D Shivakumar told reporters here.
Asked if the company is looking at tying up with local football clubs, Shivkumar said, "There are no plans right now."
He also refused to divulge details about the marketing spending on the campaign.
"Association with Nokia India will create an excellent platform for the Indian youth to engage with us and bring the club closer to its Indian fans," FCB CEO AntoniRossich said.
