Has it happened to you that you bumped into someone in a shop or a mall but you were just not able to recall his name, profile or background?
It has happened to all of us at least once in our lifetime. We have met someone in a social gathering, at a friend's house or in the market but we completely forgot their name, their profile or where they worked.
However, to save you this embarrassment, the InstantRecall App could be a very useful tool.
It is an Android app that enables users to recall key information about their contacts, at the right time.
The app complements your phone contacts listing, enabling the ability to add details relating to relationships (name of their spouse, children, birthdays, anniversaries), interests (hobbies, clubs they are part of), achievements, education etc.
Adding information is as simple as editing a contact. Simply tap the contact and add pertinent details.
The app also uses voice recognition to find information you’ve entered: say something like “Arjun Kapoor notes tagged interests” and till retrieve just that specific information.
The app has Android Wear support where the app’s functionality can be triggered directly from your wrist: launch a voice query via the InstantRecall wear app on your smartwatch, and the relevant details pop up right on your wrist.
The app can also pull contact information from your contact’s Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+ profile, if you enable it to. The app is free to use, with a premium version available that unlocks additional features.
InstantRecall is a handy, well thought out tool that does indeed augment the ability to access key information at the right time, and actually use it in creating more meaningful social ties.
