New Delhi: Thousands of gaming enthusiasts in Japan rushed to their phones on Friday to start hunting as the Pokemon GO mobile game finally launched in Japan.
After several days of rumours that the launch was imminent, Japan - one of the world`s biggest gaming markets - joined the United States, Canada, Australia and more than 30 countries in Europe in playing the "augmented-reality" game by Nintendo Co Ltd in which players interact with virtual characters in the real world.
Several reports were doing the round in the media that the game will come to India soon after its launch in Japan.
Though the craze surrounding Nintendo's Pokemon Go has been so phenomenal in the country that gamers in India have downloaded Pokemon Go APK file. The impatience of the gamers have been so much that they don't mind downloading the unofficial version despite malware threats.
Now that the Japanese game lovers have got their Pokemon GO, we can expect that Indians too would get the official version of the game anytime soon.
