Prosecutors get results of Gibson investigation

Los Angeles: A sheriff`s official says detectives have given prosecutors the results of their investigation into domestic violence allegations against Mel Gibson.Los Angeles County Sheriff`s Department spokesman Steve Whitmore says the results were turned over Wednesday for a decision on whether charges will be filed.

Detectives investigated claims made against the Academy Award-winner by his former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva (gree-GOR`-yeh-vuh.) Gibson spokesman Alan Nierob declined comment in an e-mail message. Detectives also have been examining claims by Gibson that Grigorieva attempted to extort him. Whitmore says that investigation has not been completed. Bureau Report
