Conan O`Brien likely to quit `The Tonight Show`

Conan O`Brien will host `The Tonight Show` for the last time next Friday.

Washington: Conan O`Brien will host The Tonight Show with Conan O`Brien for the last time next Friday, it has emerged.

"Conan does not currently plan on doing any more new shows after next week," a magazine quoted an insider as saying. The NBC has said that a pre-scheduled hiatus for the program starting on January 25 has been planned for months. "Everyone is working as usual in getting the show on," a source at the Tonight Show said. In a statement issued earlier in the week O`Brien said he was not part of the NBC`s plan to host a relocated Tonight Show at 12:05 am, following The Jay Leno Show at 11:35 pm. He said, "I cannot participate in what I honestly believe is [The Tonight Show`s] destruction." ANI
