Sony India on Thursday said it will invest Rs 150 crore on marketing activities during this festive season as it looks to achieve sales turnover of Rs 2,850 crore during the period.

New Delhi: Sony India on Thursday said it will invest Rs 150 crore on marketing activities during this festive season as it looks to achieve sales turnover of Rs 2,850 crore during the period.

The company is also expecting 35-40 percent jump in its overall revenue in the current financial year.

"We are making an investment of Rs 150 crore from September to November on marketing and promotional activities. We will have a dedicated campaign in this season," Sony India Managing Director Kenichiro Hibi told reporters here.

With our product range and various marketing strategies, we are expecting a turnover of Rs 2,850 crore during the festive season, he added.

The company launched a range of new products such as new LCD TVs, 3d viewer SLR, digital cameras and laptops priced between Rs 34,900 and Rs 16.99 lakh.

Talking about its overall sales, Hibi said: "Last fiscal we had clocked about Rs 6,300 crore. In this fiscal we are expecting 35-40 percent growth."

The company is aiming to increase sales outlets to about 16,000 stores from the current 10,400 centres, he added.
