Mumbai: Actor Hrithik Roshan felt patriotic and expressed himself on the occasion of the country’s 65th Independence Day. ‘Today we need to stand united, I love my country! Love for anything should not divide, it should always unite us!”, the actor said. As reported by a daily, he added "I really would want to create and shoot an anthem with all the flags of the world. That film would be played in cinemas across the world before a movie begins and have all the people from various countries stand up for each other`s flags as `One World`. Can you imagine how that would unite us! Can you see the pride in that! How beautiful that would be!"
He believes in the potential of India as a country. However, he feels that we still have thinking and the minds of the people are yet to get free from being judgemental.
He said, "Today most of us are governed by a different kind of tyranny - of what the society will say."
He also added, "Freedom is to be free to just be yourself. We must recognise ourselves with all our imperfections, and know that everybody else is just the same. We need to love, live and let live.”
He recently celebrated the Independence Day on his reality TV show, ‘Just Dance’. He shared the experience saying, "Coming from various castes and creed, these beautiful people performed together for India. And I laughed, cried, danced and even sang, though completely out of tune, but in the true spirit of freedom - I didn`t care a damn."
We wish Hrithik and everyone else a brilliant Independence Day!
