Perry to wear traditional Indian jewellery in wedding

London: Singer Katy Perry, who is set to tie the knot with fiance Russell Brand in India this weekend, will be wearing traditional Indian jewellery during the wedding.

The "I kissed a girl" hit maker was been snapped with a nose ring and gold chain as she arrived with her fiance at Mumbai airport Wednesday. The pop star hid under a coat, but a photo later emerged showing the singer wearing an Indian "nath" (nose ring). A gold chain linking the traditional trinket to her right earring completed the look, reports a website. The friends of the couple also claim they have asked a Hindu priest to bless them "in true Indian style". Perry and Brand are apparently due to wed at the luxury Aman-i-Khas resort in Jaipur, Rajasthan. IANS
