Dannii Minogue calls reaching 40 ‘privilege’

Dannii Minogue finds herself fortunate to have turned 40 as her best friend who died of cancer never got to reach that age.

Washington: Dannii Minogue finds herself fortunate to have turned 40 as her best friend who died of cancer never got to reach that age.
The former UK ‘X Factor’ judge lost her best friend to cancer in the mid 2000s, and says it made her appreciate the landmark birthday last October so much more. “For me, the biggest thing was just cherishing every moment. A lot of people asked me if I was scared about turning 40, but that was the last thing on my mind,” Contactmusic quoted her as telling Hello! magazine. “I have lost one of my best friends to cancer and I thought, ‘she didn’t get the privilege of reaching 40 and here I am’. “It made me feel so many emotions but none of them had to do with, ‘I need more eye cream’. It was just that it was a special moment. I really embraced it. I loved it,” she added. ANI
