Aston Martin ‘taken for a ride by youths’

Melbourne: Aussie model Lara Bingle’s Aston Martin is said to have been stolen by a group of local youths, who wanted to take the car for a ride. Theories had emerged as to why the car was stolen and then just dumped, but now according to two sources on Campbell Pde, a group of local youths have been telling friends they took it for a joy ride after taking advantage of an opportunity to steal it.

“They’ve been saying they saw Lara’s Range Rover [the couple’s other vehicle] parked in the middle parking section of Campbell Pde and knew that she owned it,” the Daily Telegraph quoted one of the sources as saying. “So they broke in to see what they could find, then found the Aston Martin keys inside the glovebox and knew which building she lived in and went after the car. “They’re claiming they only drove it around for a few hours before dumping it in Maroubra but later went back and moved it to south Coogee, where it was found,” the source added.
