Melbourne: Carey mulligan has revealed that she was afraid when she learned that she had to give two auditions for ` The Great Gatsby` in two days and when she was asked to read with Leonardo DiCaprio on the first day.
She said that the team called her again and she had to go in for a screen test with hair and make-up. "Honestly, just getting to act with Leo for an hour and a half was pretty amazing. If it had all ended there, I would have been happy," News.com.au quoted her as saying. Months before the cameras started rolling in Sydney in September 2011, Baz Luhrmann gathered his key players (Mulligan, DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire) in New York for a week of workshops. She said that Luhrman organised people to come in and speak with them. She said that they had lectures on the 1920s and rehearsed scenes and talked a lot. The cast also received folders that were bulging with character-specific research material, plus iPods loaded with songs and videos. ANI
