Los Angeles: Hollywood actor-director Mel Gibson has been off the alcohol for five-years and celebrated the sobriety milestone with friends.
The 55-year-old star was in trouble recently after being accused of racism and physical violence by ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
Gibson was arrested on July 28, 2006 and reportedly decided to shun alcohol after that, which also led to his separation from wife Robyn, TMZ reported.
