Bollywood celebrates Sachin Tendulkar’s birthday on Twitter!

New Delhi: Known to be the God of Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar turned 37 on Saturday. Although the ace cricketer prefers to keep his birthday a very simple and a low-key affair, Sachin apparently couldn’t keep himself from getting bombarded with numerous ‘happy birthday’ tweets, as his net-savvy celebrity fans from the filmdom poured in their heartfelt wishes for the Master Blaster on Twitter. On Saturday, the Twitter-addicted B-town bigwigs apparently flooded the cyberspace with birthday messages, as they personally wished Sachin a very happy birthday on the popular social networking site. Here’s what some of Sachin’s fans from the film fraternity tweeted on the cricketer’s special day: Shah Rukh Khan: “Happy birthday Sachin. Hope your fingers heal soon.” Arjun Rampal: “Happy birthday to the greatest Sachin T, may you just get younger and play forever, we can`t get enough of you. Full power to the master.” Anupam Kher: “Happy birthday Sachin. You are one of `the` reasons to be proud of being an Indian. Thanks for helping us rise above the pettiness of our surroundings.” Among the other actors who wished Tendulkar were Genelia D`Souza and Mallika Sherawat. Apart from the B-town superstars, cricketer Yuvraj Singh, Shane Warne, and Rohit Sharma too wished Sachin on Twitter. Yuvraj tweeted: “Happy birthday master blaster. Lots of love and best of wishes for the final.” Shane Warne wrote: “Happy birthday to the little master and my friend Sachin!! Hope he is not injured for the final... Good luck to both teams.” Cricketer Rohit Sharma wished the Master Blaster, by calling him "the legend of cricket". Sachin’s truly a legend, indeed.
