Akshay, Shiamak dine with Singh and Harper

Superstar Akshay Kumar and India`s contemporary dance guru Shiamak Davar were among the special guests who joined Prime Ministers Stephen Harper and Manmohan Singh at a special dinner here.

Toronto: Superstar Akshay Kumar and India`s contemporary dance guru Shiamak Davar were among the special guests who joined Prime Ministers Stephen Harper and Manmohan Singh at a special dinner here.
Both Davar and Kumar attended the dinner last night at the invitation of Prime Minister Harper and his wife Laureen Harper at the Westin Harbour Castle & Convention Centre. Shiamak and Akshay, both promote Indo-Canadian relations. Shiamak and Akashay greeted Harper and his wife Laureen, besides Singh and his wife Gursharan Kaur and posed for the shutterbugs. The two receive applause from a large number of audience amidst unprecedented security. A large number of Indo-Canadians including President of Indian Chapter of Canada India Business Council Hemant Shah, President of Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce Asha Luthra, President of Canada India Foundation Ramesh Chotai and President of Canada India Education Council Kam Rathee greeted the Prime Minister and congratulated him for signing the Indo-Canada Nuclear Deal and an MoU in the field of mining, high education and cultural fields. Shah said: "It is a historic moment for India. The deal will go a long way in promoting bilateral trade and investment between the two countries". Singh left Toronto today after a two-day visit during during which he attended the G 20 summit and signed a landmark civil nuclear deal with Canada. PTI
