New Delhi: Luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz Monday said it has sold 90 customised Mercedes-Benz C-Class cars to mobility solutions company Carzonrent.
With this purchase Carzonrent has become the single largest owner of Mercedes vehicles in the country with a fleet of 160 vehicles, Mercedes-Benz said in a statement.
Commenting on the development, Mercedes-Benz MD & CEO Peter T Honegg said the trend of having fleet of luxury cars, that was pioneered by the hospitality industry, has been utilised by a large number of high-end organisations across different segments.
"Carzonrent's association with Mercedes-Benz India is a testimony to this growing trend. We see this trend growing in the future and already have in place a team dedicated towards serving the needs of corporate customers," he said.
The company, however, did not disclose the deal value.
Carzonrent Managing Director Rajiv Vij said the demand for luxurious personal mobility solutions was rapidly on the rise.
"We partner with various international and domestic airlines, hotels and financial services companies to service their high flying guests.
"Monday almost 25 per cent or Rs 40 crore annually of our car rental revenues come from this segment; the demand is growing at a much faster pace as compared to other segments," Vij added.
