New Delhi: It doesn’t take a genius to understand that Samsung is spiteful to take on Apple head on in this cut-throat world of tech. Samsung has released an advertisement that has a tag line "It doesn’t take a genius", comparing Apple’s recently launched iPhone 5 to its Galaxy S III.
The print ad shows Apple iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy III side-by-side along with their distinctive features. The ad ends with another jibe that says, "The next big thing is already here, Galaxy S III."
The South Korean company draws attention to the bigger screen and longer battery life of its Galaxy S III. It also lists all the features of the Galaxy phone which the iPhone 5 doesn't have, such as NFC capability and a removable battery.
The advert, however, forgets to mention the features unique to the iPhone 5, like the iCloud integration.
The Galaxy S III last month usurped iPhone 4S as the top-selling smartphone in the US. But, Samsung also lost USD 1 billion to Apple in a court decision concerning patent infringements.
Apple unveiled the iPhone 5 on September 12 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco and opened up pre-orders on September 14.
The new version of the iPhone will support a 4G LTE chipset and sport a bigger, refreshed 4-inch display. The iPhone 5 will be seen running on iOS 6 and will be available in markets soon.
