Delhi's most expensive bungalow bought by Torrent’s Mehta brothers Zeebiz Bureau

New Delhi: Torrent group owners Sudhir and Samir Mehta have bought a 1,112.4 sq yards bungalow on Dharam Marg in Chanakyapuri, near the American embassy, for Rs 111 crore.

As per reports in the Economic Times, this is one of Delhi's most expensive realty deals. The Ahmedabad-based drug-to-power group bought the bungalow for Rs 10 lakh per yard.

The property is just outside the Lutyen’s Bungalow Zone (LBZ). The area is a hot spot for the rich and famous; businessmen and top politicians like Naveen Jindal, LN Mittal, Sunil Mittal,DLF ‘s KP Singh.

Torrent is promoted by brothers Sudhir and Samir Mehta, whose father UN Mehta, a government clerk-turned medical representative for drug firm Sandoz, had set up the firm in 1959.
