Google ‘not developing’ Apps for Windows 8

Google ‘not developing’ Apps for Windows 8 Washington: Internet search giant Google has announced that it is not planning to release Google Apps on Windows 8.

During an interview with British tech publication V3, Google Apps product manager Clay Bavor said that his team's products wouldn''t come to the platform anytime soon.

“We have no plans to build out Windows apps. We are very careful about where we invest and will go where the users are, but they are not on Windows Phone or Windows 8,” the report quoted him, as saying.

According to CNET, Bavor added that Google's stance could change if and when Windows 8 gains scale.

“If that changes, we would invest there, of course,” he said.

Google Apps include Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides, as well as Gmail and Calendar.
