Mumbai: Shares of IT company HCL Infosystems on Friday declined by over 6 percent to touch the 52-week low after the company posted a standalone loss of Rs 28.67 crore for the three months period ended December 31, 2012.
The scrip finally settled 4.90 percent lower at Rs 34 on the BSE. During the day, shares of the company had tumbled 6 per cent to Rs 33.60 -- its 52-week low.
On NSE, the stock closed 5.58 percent lower at Rs 33.85.
HCL Infosystems had posted a net profit of Rs 9.11 crore for the same period a year-ago.
Income from operations of the company declined by 4.3 percent during the reported quarter and stood at Rs 2,472.2 crore compared to Rs 2,583.41 crore during the corresponding period in previous financial year.
Weakness in the counter was in line with an overall sluggish broader market where the BSE benchmark Sensex ended at 19,468.15, down 29.03 points.
