Oprah slams Kelley’s ‘so-called biography’

Oprah is said to have slammed Kelley’s controversial book about her.

New York: Talk show host Oprah Winfrey is said to have slammed investigative journalist Kitty Kelley’s controversial book about her, putting it down as a ‘so-called biography’.
According to People.com, Winfrey, 56, criticised the book at the New York Women in Communications Matrix Awards, where she presented an award to Gayle King - her best friend and an editor of O, The Oprah Magazine. The book rehashes reports that Winfrey abused drugs and questions the extent of her long-time claim of being sexually abused as a child. But the controversial claim that Kelley knows the identity of Winfrey’s father has raised eyebrows and upset King, who the talk show queen has described as someone who “sometimes cares about my life more than I do”. “Every day, she’s getting herself more and more worked up about all of my new daddies that are now showing up,” the News York Daily News quoted her as saying. “New daddies who are saying, ‘Hello, daughter, call me, I need a new roof.’ Well, this too shall pass,” Winfrey added.
