Delhi woos investors to boost city infrastructure
New Delhi: Delhi Government Friday y invited investment from within and outside the country for improving urban infrastructure and basic services in the city, promising all support to the investors.
Delhi Industries Minister Harun Yusuf, speaking at a business forum, said there was huge scope for investment to further improve urban infrastructure and enhance basic services in the city and city government was committed to ensure a favourable environment for the investors.
The business forum was organised as part of 'Days of Moscow in Delhi', a three day celebration of relationship between the two capital cities under which a series of cultural, academic and business events are being held.
Yusuf highlighted Delhi Government's industrial policy and said the national capital would also welcome investment in the knowledge based industries.
"The endeavour of our Government is to promote knowledge based and high-technology industries in our industrial estates," he said.
The business forum meeting was organised by the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (DSIIDC)
Russia's Ambassador Alexander M Kadakin and Minister in Government of Moscow Sergey Cheremin were present on the occasion.
Cheremin said relations between India and Russia are strategic in nature and there was huge scope for cooperation in diverse areas.
