New Delhi: If you are on a gazetted post in government department, and have not filed your immovable property return for 2015 so far, then you may be in for some trouble!

As per the Department of Personnel and training, any one who fails to file returns on the immovable property in time, would be strictly denied vigilance clearance for deputation, and permission for Training etc.

Every government servant holding a Gazetted post is required to submit an annual return giving full details regarding the immovable property inherited, owned, acquired, held on lease or mortgage either in his/her own name or in the name of any family member or in the name of any other person.

The returns are to be file by the 31st of January.

Government has turned stricter by asking for specifications of the property. It has been observed in the previous instances that officers while furnishing their Annual IPR write 'no change', 'same as last year' etc.

It has asked the auditors to properly scrutinize the return forms and endorse with the remarks that the 'Current IPR has been paired with previous IPR and found correct'.
