Mahindra Holidays & Resorts acquires Royal Courts Jaisalmer

Thirty five rooms of this 74-room property were already part of Club Mahindra.

New Delhi: Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India on Friday said it has acquired 'Royal Courts Jaisalmer', a 74-room resort from Divine Heritage Hotels for an undisclosed amount.

The company has purchased "100 per cent equity share capital of Divine Heritage Hotels Pvt Ltd,", Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India (MHRIL) said a statement.

Thirty five rooms of this 74-room property were already part of Club Mahindra network under an inventory arrangement, it added.

Commenting on the acquisition, MHRIL Managing Director Rajiv Sawhney said: "Rajasthan is a key destination on India's tourism map and with Club Mahindra, Jaisalmer we strengthen our footprint....We will continue to add capacity in locations where Indians holiday."

The company now offers its members the complete Rajasthani experience with the Great Thar desert, lakes of Udaipur, Aravali mountains at Kumbalgarh and an open art gallery at Nawalgarh, he added.

MHRIL offers family holidays primarily through vacation ownership memberships. While Club Mahindra is the flagship brand, the other brands offered by the company are ? Zest Breaks, Club Mahindra Fundays, Mahindra HomeStays and Mahindra Travel.

The company is a part of the USD 15.4 billion business conglomerate Mahindra Group.
