Washington: Barack and Michelle Obama went out for a dinner to celebrate their twentieth marriage anniversary, it has been revealed.
According to the reports, the first couple commemorated the special occasion with a dinner at the urban chic Bourbon Street restaurant that is located in the Four Seasons hotel, ABC reported. The true date of the couple’s wedding fell on Wednesday, which also happened to be the day of the first debate between Barack and Republican nominee Mitt Romney in Denver. The President pointed out the occasion at the top of the debate, reminding Michelle that in a year he wouldn’t be able to announce it live on television. “There are a lot of points I want to make tonight, but the most important one is that 20 years ago I became the luckiest man on Earth because Michelle Obama agreed to marry me,” the Politico quoted him as saying. “And so I just want to wish, Sweetie, you happy anniversary and let you know that a year from now we will not be celebrating it in front of 40 million people,” he added.
