On the occasion of the 46th anniversary of Star Trek the characters of the sci-fi TV series came alive through a doodle. The interactive doodle allowed users to participate in a little tale had characters of the series shown as letters of the Google logo.

Star Trek: The Original Series was created by Gene Roddenberry and aired on NBC from September 8, 1966 to June 3, 1969. Characters such as Captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner), first officer Spock (Leonard Nimoy) etc., have achieved iconic status and the show spawned a franchise with spin-offs and merchandises.
