Born on the 8th of June in 1955, Sir Timothy John "Tim" Berners-Lee is widely known for the invention of World Wide Web (WWW). In 2004, he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his pioneering work in the field of the internet world.
Tim Berners-Lee is an English computer scientist and an MIT professor. In March 1989 he made a proposal for an information management system. However it was only on 25 December 1990, along with Robert Cailliau and a young student at CERN that he implemented the first successful communication between a Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) client and server via the Internet.
