MJ’s mum at centre of legal war for son’s estate

King of Pop Michael Jackson’s mum Katherine is caught between two lawyers who are fighting for control of the late singer’s estate.

London: King of Pop Michael Jackson’s mum Katherine is caught between two lawyers who are fighting for control of the late singer’s estate.Jackson’s lawyer John Branca wants to prevent Katherine, 79, from becoming trustee of the star’s estate, which is worth up to 1.2 billion pounds.
But rival Londell McMillan, 42, whose clients include soul legend Stevie Wonder, branded the plan “villainous”. “There’s no question that Katherine was Michael’s most trusted person - from a personal and business standpoint,” the Sun quoted McMillan as saying. He has already claimed a minor victory in winning Katherine access to Jacko’s contract with concert promoters AEG. But Branca, one of two executors of Jacko’s will, believes McMillan is running Katherine. “She’s got zero knowledge of business. It’s tragic to watch,” a family source said. “She’s a pawn in this big-money game. These people are vultures. Sparks are going to fly,” the source added. ANI
