CHENNAI: Ahead of Pongal festival, at least 12 arriving flights were on Saturday diverted and 30 departing flights were delayed in Chennai due to smoke.

The Chennai International Airport witnessed a massive smoke due to the burning of old articles on Bogi festival. Flight operations, however, have resumed.
