Younis Khan showed once again why he is one of the modern greats as days after recovering from dengue, Younis Khan slammed his 33rd Test hundred.

Younis Khan was the star for the hosts, as days after he recovered from dengue, one of the most renowned fighters in world cricket won massive praise as he slammed yet another Test hundred for his country.

After playing so well, Samuels gave his wicket away at the fag end of the day. Played a lose shot off Rahat Ali's ball and was caught low at first slip.

After two balls, Brathwaite was sold as a dummy by nightwatchman Bishoo. In the end disaster for visitors.

In the meantime, Misbah wasted a review, ball clearly pitched outside the leg-stump. On the other hand, Samuels is looking in good touch, he thrashed Yasir Shah for three boundaries in one over.

Good bowling payed dividends for Pakistan, as they snubbed another wicket in the form of Darren Bravo(the best batsman for West Indies in the longest format). Initially, Bravo was given not out by the on-field umpire but Misbah reviewed the decision which ruled the batsman out.

Pakistan got their first breakthrough when Rahat Ali trapped Johnson in front of the wicket in the 14th over. It was an inswinger which swung late and Windies lost their first wicket at the score of 27.

Excellent session that one for the Windies. Their openers have done well so make sure they don't lose a wicket in the session. That, after their bowlers did well to bowl the hosts out for 452 runs. Misbah would want his bowlers to get him at least one wicket at the earliest to shift momentum.

Sohail Khan was batting in ODI mode as he hit three boundaries off Gabriel in his 22nd over. He was dismissed by Holder and the innings came to an end when Gabriel dismissed Babar for a duck to claim a five-wicket haul. The Windies pacers have bowled their hearts out today and they deserve all the credit.

Soon after reaching his eighth Test fifty, Sarfraz was cleaned up by Gabriel. It was a brilliant delivery, a low full-toss, which screamed in the block hole and bamboozled the wicketkeeper batsman. The wicket also ended the pivotal 70-run stand for the seventh wicket. Jason Holder followed it by dismissing another set batsman, Nawaz who was bowled as well. Sohail Khan is the new man in and he got off the mark with a boundary.

LUNCH: Sarfraz Ahmed and Mohammad Nawaz have resurrected the innings with a brilliant partnership for the seventh wicket. After losing Misbah and Yasir Shah early, this stand will give a lot of confidence to Pakistan, who are in a commanding position.

Yasir Shah's resistance came to an end when he was dismissed by Jason Holder in the 93rd over of the innings. Mohammad Nawaz is the next man in and it remains to be seen what Sarfraz Ahmed can do from here onwards.

Misbah missed out on his ton as he was trapped in front of the wicket by Shannon Gabriel. The skipper reviewed the decision but it didn't go his way. Sarfraj Ahmed is the next man in. Yasir Shah is batting well on 18 and he seems to have done his job thus far.

While Younis hogged limelight on the opening day of the second Test with his 127-run knock, skipper Misbah too was unbeaten on 90, just ten-runs away from another fine hundred. It would be Misbah's 11th Test hundred if he manages to achieve it.

In his stupendous knock, Younis, who hit ten boundaries and a six, added 175 for the fourth wicket with Misbah and 87 for the third with Asad Shafiq who made 68.

It was again the two veteran batsmen -- Younis and Misbah -- who put Pakistan on track for another big total with their 15th hundred partnership in 49 innings.

Misbah, who has now equalled Imran Khan's record of most Test matches as Pakistan captain with 48, hit two sixes and four boundaries as he worked in tandem with Younis to build an imposing total.

West Indies were guilty of sloppy fielding with Younis dropped on 83 when Brathwaite failed to hold a return catch off his own bowling and wicket-keeper Shai Hope handing Misbah a lifeline on 54 off paceman Shannon Gabriel.
