Kings XI Punjab

This young and energetic T20 outfit from Cape Town offers cricket with venom. They have a balanced side with some big hitters capable of turning the game within a span of a few spanking boundaries.
It has a heady dose of big international names like Herschelle Gibbs, Jean-Paul Duminy, Robin Peterson, Justin Kemp, Justin Ontong, Vernon Philander, Graeme Smith, Henry Davids and the six smashing Charl Langeveldt that set the base for an exiting tournament.
Injury scares have been a major problem for the team with the best of the best, Graeme Smith, pulling out at the last moment due to a niggle that refused to go away.
The team has acclimatised itself well to the Indian conditions since their landing for the Champions League campaign. JP Duminy looks in fine form as he stroked an unbeaten 36 that helped Cape Cobras beat a Karnataka XI by five wickets in their final warm-up game ahead of the tourney.
