Delhi Daredevils

For the last two IPL seasons, Delhi Daredevils have started with a bang and looked like an unbeatable team. But somehow they failed in the semis in both the IPL editions.
Though they have never won the IPL, every time they start their campaign, they start as championship contenders. The same can be said for them in the inaugural of Champions League of this year.
Though their regular leader and star Virender Sehwag has relinquished captaincy, they have got a good captain in Gautam Gambhir, who himself is no lesser threat to the opposition than his former captain. The duo will be certainly the most lethal threat to all the opposition teams of the tournament.
Besides Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir, Tillakaratne Dilshan and last year’s recruits Paul Collingwood and Owais Shah make the team from the capital a daunting prospect for any bowling attack. What also works in Delhi’s favour is that all its frontline batsmen are in good nick and can win matches on their own.
With an equally potent bowling attack comprising of left-arm pace sensation Dirk Nannes, Ashish Nehra, spin ace Daniel Vettori and leggie Amit Mishra. Delhi Daredevils are the most balanced team heading into the first ever Champions League.
