Otago Volts

Otago Volts is one of the six major teams that comprise New Zealand Cricket. The side represents the Otago and Southland Cricket Associations in the Champions League T20.
The Volts made their way to the Champions League after concluding a successful domestic season! They beat Auckland in the final of State Shield domestic tournament and also won the State Twenty20 against Canterbury despite the final being washed out!
The side boasts of a rich Kiwi bench strength that also includes Brendon McCullum who has the experience of leading the Black Caps in the Twenty20 World Cup.
Some players could play a pivotal role in the team’s campaign during the Champions League; Right-arm fast-bowler Warren McSkimming (who has also proved himself as an eligible T20 batsman), James McMillan (another experienced opening bowler), Aaron Redmond (a brilliant T20 batsman) and of course, Nathan McCullum.
Nathan, an all-round cricketer, whose expertise with the bat and the ball is known to all, will have an upper hand with his ‘doosra’ skills.
Captain Craig Cumming is a fielder par excellence and a fantastic team player.
Other than that, Ian Butler and all-rounder Dimitri Mascarenhas will prove vital for the team.
