Did Yuvraj's mother ill-treat Bigg Boss contestant Akanksha Sharma? Here's what she said

New Delhi: As the new season of popular TV reality show Bigg Boss kicked off, a controversy triggered when one of the contestants accused veteran Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh's mother Shabnam of ill-treating her.

Akanksha Sharma, 25-year-old from Gurgaon, revealed in the show that she was married to Yuvraj's younger brother, Zorawar. In Salman Khan's show, Akanksha said that her marriage lasted for just four months, and said it came to an end because of Yuvraj and Zoravar's mother Shabnam, who ill-treated her.

Reacting to the revelations made against her in new season of Bigg Boss, Shabnam Singh told HT City, “First of all, this matter is sub judice and she (Akansha) is not allowed to speak. It goes under the contempt of court. There’s a special petition I had filed. Anyone can understand the agenda here and everybody knows it. We are not allowed to speak on this matter.”

Shabnam further added that her family was the first one to file for divorce.

“Those who know me well it’s not that I would do something like that. People must know that we were the ones who first filed the divorce because we had some really strong reasons, so I had to do it. If she had to take any action or say something against any alleged cruelty from my side, she could have done that earlier as well or filed a case back then,” she is quoted saying in the report.

It remains to be seen whether Akanksha will divulge more details in this case.
