|Mahanama named Match Referee for Ind-Eng ODI series|
Dubai, Nov 09: Roshan Mahanama was today named Match Referee for India`s seven-match ODI series against England and the Sri Lankan will pave way for New Zealander Jeff Crowe for the subsequent two Tests between the two teams.
According to a statement from the International Cricket Council (ICC), the first three matches of the ODI series will be officiated by Russell Tiffin and an Indian umpire while Daryl Harper will stand in the last four ODIs along with local appointments.
The Ahmedabad and Mumbai Tests will be umpired by Asad Rauf and Harper, both from the ICC Elite Panel.
Meanwhile, the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and the West Indies between November 12-16 will be overseen by Mike Procter of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees. It will be Procter`s last assignment as an ICC match referee before he takes over the full-time role of South Africa`s convener of selectors.
The three ODIs will be shared between Steve Davis, Daryl Harper and Mark Benson, all from the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires.
