New Delhi: South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir finally spun his way into the 10th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). He joined Rising Pune Supergiants as injured Aussie all-rounder Mitchell Marsh's replacement.

Tahir missed out during this year's IPL auction with no franchise showing keen interests in one of the highest ranking bowlers in the game. But, with Marsh's injury, the Pune team grabbed on to the Protea from the pool of registered available players.

The Australian all-rounder had flew back home mid-way through the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy after picking a shoulder injury. It was followed by reports form Australian media, claiming that the 25-year-old can be out of action for about nine months.

Shortly after that, he had pulled out of this year's IPL.

Tahir was part of the 9th edition of the cash-rich league and had played for the Delhi Daredevils.
