New Delhi: Nothing's going right for Virat Kohli and his Royal Challengers Bangalore. After that humbling 82-run defeat at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders last Sunday, they were given another thrashing by the Gujarat Lions in their IPL match today.
But the skipper showed glimpses of his class, and at the start of the match, it looked like he's going to do something huge. The moment of 'reckoning' came in the second over. He faced Basil Thampi, and the Lions pacer produced a dot ball to start the over. Another dot ball followed, with the fielding side going up for a huge appeal for caught behind even through Kohli was hoping for a wide down the leg side. The whole drama infuriated Kohli.
Then, Kohli played an almost impossible six, which went flat. Thampi, having managed to 'trouble' with his down the leg deliveries, once again resorted to the tactics, but Kohli flicked the ball over square leg, kind of stand and deliver stuff. Indeed a rare sight.

Kohli, however, didn't last long as Thampi returned to remove the star batsman off the penultimate ball of the fourth over, caught at short fine leg. A brilliantly set-up wicket!
RCB failed to defend 134, and lost the match by seven wicket with 37 balls remaining.
