Quick wickets fell there after, but not much was left to add to the board as KKR won by 6 wickets

And Virat brings in more of spin into the attack. Chahal now in for his first over. Second ball, length, spins off as Lynn off his back-foot to punch it down cover for a boundary. And it is Badree into the attack now. Third delivery, googly as the ball kids off the outside edge off the bat and arcs over short third man for a boundary. This is the same Narine that had hammered down Badree in their last encounter this season.

Target is 159 and Virat Kohli will surely be happy as to what they reached after the initial downfall.

With Virat Kohli's RCB already out of play-offs contention and only pride to play for, Kolkata Knight Riders will be hoping to reclaim second spot in the points table with a victory today, after Rising Pune Supergiant had replaced them following triumph over Sunriers Hyderabad on Saturday. Going into the encounter, RCB would want to forget the reverse fixture's result, when they were bowled out for 49 - the IPL's lowest total – with KKR claiming a win by 82 runs. The match saw Knight Riders defending 131 by making perfect use of their explosive pace attack which saw Nathan Coulter-Nile, Chris Woakes and Colin de Grandhomme took three wickets each, bundling out the Royal Challengers in just 9.4 overs.

Aussie opener, Chris Lynn, who has started practicing with the team is expected to fully fit by May 9, but has slight chances of making it to the squad in today's match too.

As far as head to head records are concerned, Knight Riders lead 10-9 in all IPL matches but Royal Challengers have a 4-3 record against the Kolkata team in Bengaluru.

In their next two games, KKR would be facing Kings XI Punjab, who registered a 19-run victory against RCB on Friday, and already qualified Mumbai Indians who have 16 points from 10 outings.
